Smart Works is delighted to announce that designer Lulu Guinness will be joining the team as an ambassador.
Lulu is a welcome new member of the Smart Works family. She has a passion for lifting women up and helping them identify their talents. Lulu has already contributed so much to the charity, from hosting events to donating many bags and shoes from her eponymous collection.
2019 was a big year for Smart Works and Lulu as she was the chosen designer to collaborate with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics on its annual, limited edition Pretty Powerful product, launched each year to coincide with International Women’s Day. The 2019 Pretty Powerful collection was a huge success, selling out and raising £80,000 for Smart Works.
Later in 2019 Lulu kindly donated her time to host an event for the Smart Works centre in Newcastle, meeting with women from across the city to talk about her love of fashion. The event resulted in £4,000 raised for the North England centre.

“I am so thrilled to be asked to be an ambassador for Smart Works. Women supporting women has always been very important to me. And now I find I have 30 years of experience of the ups and downs of having a fashion brand, children and mental health issues whilst keeping a sense of humour and lipstick high on my priority list. I am also the greatest fan of Juliet Hughes-Hallett!”
About the new appointment, Smart Works Chair and Co-founder, Juliet Hughes-Hallett said:

As well as donating countless shoes and bags to Smart Works, Lulu designed the sell out makeup bag for the Pretty Powerful collaboration with Bobbi Brown in 2019. She has also made time to visit our regional centres and raise vital funds for them. Her passion and commitment to Smart Works is obvious.
