Smart Works exist because of our volunteers. All of the dressing and coaching is delivered by a skilled and trained team of empathetic, talented people who give their time to help a woman who is at a crucial moment in her life. All of our wardrobes are immaculately organised and curated thanks to the dedication of our wardrobe team.
Julia is one of our Dressing Volunteers, she supports clients who come to our North London centre, helping them to find the perfect outfit ahead of their interview.
“Smart Works is a cause very close to my heart and I love being a volunteer. It’s a wonderful community and a privilege to connect with so many brilliant women and hear their stories. Being able to provide a little help and support on their journey is fantastic.”

Interview Coach
Our interview volunteers are senior managers, HR professionals or executive coaches who spend an hour one to one with each client so they understand what is expected at the interview, understand how to answer questions effectively and are aware of their own strengths.

Our wardrobe volunteers have a meticulous attention to detail and passion for organisation, to ensure our wardrobes are beautifully organised and an inspiring space for our clients.
Our volunteers
Our volunteers ensure we deliver a premium service to every woman we meet.
We want to hear from you
There’s not one type of person who volunteers at Smart Works
We want to hear from you if you have time to give, care deeply about our mission and promise to treat every woman who comes through our doors with kindness and respect. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please check out your nearest Smart Works centre and see what opportunities they may have.
Volunteers do need to be able to travel to our centres regularly, so please factor that into your thinking.
If this sounds like a good fit, click here to see what volunteering opportunities are available in London and Newcastle. For all other regions, please contact your nearest centre via our homepage.
We take our volunteer recruitment seriously, so please bear with us and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, please do look at some of the other ways to support us here.
