Smart Works to open new centre in Bristol with support of The Julia Rausing Trust
We are thrilled to announce that Smart Works is among the first grant recipients of The Julia Rausing Trust, launched in memory of the late philanthropist Julia Rausing. The £250,000 donation will fund the opening of a new Smart Works Centre in Bristol.
Thanks to The Julia Rausing Trust’s incredible generosity Smart Works has the opportunity to reach women across the South West for the very first time. This is a pivotal moment in our charity’s history as we work towards being there for all women who need our help and achieving our goal of supporting 10,000 women a year by 2025.
Tiffanie Darke, Interim Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Julia Rausing was deeply committed to ensuring that all women have the opportunity to flourish, thrive and succeed. Her support of Smart Works over the years through The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, was instrumental to our charity’s growth, enabling us to bring our service to new locations across the UK, helping us to support thousands of women into employment.
With this grant, we have been given the special opportunity to honour Julia’s legacy through the opening of a new Smart Works Centre in Bristol. This new centre will have a transformational impact upon the lives of women and their families across the South West, and we express our utmost gratitude to The Julia Rausing Trust for giving us this incredible opportunity.”
