Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of launching the second year of our Client Champion Programme, welcoming 17 former clients to the community.

The role sees former clients acting as ambassadors for Smart Works, sharing their stories and first-hand experiences of our service to champion the charity and help us reach more women. Our clients have always been the golden thread in our work, and they truly inspire everyone in our community. This programme enables us to give them a platform and share their stories, with the hope of helping more women succeed on their path to employment.

When welcoming the new cohort to the programme, interim Chief Executive Officer, Tiffanie Darke, said: ‘We are on a mission to support 10,000 women across the UK this year, and we couldn’t do it without you. Each of your stories is amazing, and at the heart of our service – to hear you speak about Smart Works is the most compelling and heartwarming thing. We are so thrilled to have you on board.’

Alla, who has joined the Client Champion Programme from Scotland, shared her motivation to join the community: ‘I believe that my journey can resonate with many, and I am committed to helping women realize their potential, just as Smart Works helped me realize mine. This role is an opportunity for me to give back, to advocate for this fantastic cause, and to help create a community of strong, confident, and successful women.’
