The Minister for Employment visits Smart Works Birmingham

Last week, we were delighted to welcome the Minister for Employment into our Birmingham centre to witness our service in action.  

Speaking to members of the Smart Works Birmingham team, some of our wonderful volunteers, and Client Champions Stephanie and Mereille, the Minister heard all about our service and how we are working with the Department for Work and Pensions to support even more women into employment. 

Moments like these, where we can spread awareness of our service and its transformative power, are so important to our charity. Particularly to hear first hand from our clients, sharing their inspirational stories about their employment journeys. 

We want to thank the Minister for her visit, and for bringing light to the work we do across the UK. It was a truly empowering morning – here’s to helping even more women and reaching 10,000 a year by 2025.
