Smart Works would like to pay tribute to Juliet Hughes-Hallett as it is announced that she will be taking on the new role of Honorary President and stepping down as Chair of the Charity in Spring 2021. Juliet co-founded Smart Works in September 2013, and has been the founding Chair since that date.
Juliet will remain actively involved in the Charity and become Honorary President once her successor has been announced.
Juliet’s passion for Smart Works began in the dressing room, where she started as a volunteer and saw first-hand the life changing impact of the service. Driven by the vision of helping more women, Juliet has led the Charity through a period of significant growth, from one centre in London to eight across the UK, helping 4000 women each year with the tools they need to transform their lives.
Throughout all of this time, Juliet has remained a regular dressing volunteer and remains passionate about our volunteers and most of all, our clients, which will continue in her new role as Honorary President.
The search for a new Chair will launch shortly, with the intention to make an appointment by April 2021.
