Smart Works Birmingham are delighted about today’s wonderful write up by the BBC on the impactful work they are doing in the region.
The article, written by Jennifer Meierhans and published today on the homepage of BBC Birmingham and captures the Smart Works magic in the eyes of two of their clients.
In the article, Smart Works Birmingham client, Saarah, explained that after finding out she had an interview to be an air hostess, she panicked when realising she didn’t have the right outfit for the job which required a white shirt and a pencil skirt.
The story goes onto describe how she was delighted to be welcomed into Smart Works with warmth and kindness and gifted a beautiful suit by long-term Smart Works supporter, Burberry.
“I had a huge smile on my face, I couldn’t believe it – who gets a Burberry suit?! In that moment I felt like I had two lives, the one before and the one now,” comments Saraah in the article.
Smart Works helps women across the UK, in their 7 centres, with free clothing and interview training and 64% of the clients they see will go on to get the job within a month of their appointment.
