We value clothing donations that are interview-appropriate, in good condition and ready to wear. These donations directly help another woman to succeed at her job interview.
Most of the clothes donated to us get put straight onto our rails to dress the women we see. However, we also hold pop-up fashion sales throughout the year to create much needed income out of any clothes that are not deemed as interview appropriate. Therefore, we also welcome any high quality items that could be sold at these events, including casual or party pieces. All profit made from the pop-up sales is put back into our services to ensure we can continue to help as many women as possible.
Please either come to Smart Works to drop off your donation, or you can send them to us by post. For further information please contact our Newcastle team.
We are currently in need of:
- Size 8 and 10 clothing
- Shoes (all sizes)
- If you have other items to donate, please contact us and we will be able to let you know if we are able to accept them at this time.
Corporate Clothing Drives
Many organisations run a clothing drive on behalf of Smart Works, which is an easy and fun way to secure a large number of clothing donations, and ensure that great quality clothing is put to the best possible use. As we receive a large volume of clothing donations, we also suggest other fundraising activities as another way to support our centre and the service that we provide, such as holding a clothing bring and buy sale with friends or colleagues to raise money for our service and get some new pieces for your wardrobe.
