We value clothing donations that are interview-appropriate, in good condition and ready to wear. These donations directly help another woman to succeed at her job interview.
Most of the clothes donated to us get put straight onto our rails to dress the women we see. However, we also hold pop-up fashion sales throughout the year to create much needed income out of any clothes that are not deemed as interview appropriate. Therefore, we also welcome any high quality items that could be sold at these events, including casual or party pieces. All profit made from the pop-up sales is put back into our services to ensure we can continue to help as many women as possible.
Donations can be delivered to our office at MEA House, which is usually staffed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. For donations outside of these hours, our building reception is able to accept donations on our behalf 8am-7.30pm Monday-Thursday. We kindly ask that you contact us to let us know when you might be coming to bring your donations. Alternatively, we are happy to receive donations by post.

Corporate Clothing Drives
Many organisations run a clothing drive on behalf of Smart Works, which is an easy and fun way to secure a large number of clothing donations, and ensure that great quality clothing is put to the best possible use.
Alongside a clothing drive, we also suggest adding a fundraising element to help support our centre. This could be donating a small amount of money per item donated, holding a clothing bring and buy sale with friends or colleagues, or inviting Smart Works to host a pop-up sale in your workplace, to raise money for our service and get some new pieces for your wardrobe.
