Donate Clothes

***Donations Update 3 November 2020***

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Smart Works Leeds will not be able to accept individual donations for the time being. If you are able to hold on to items for us, we will update the website when we are able to take donations again. We intend for this to be in December.

Many thanks for your patience and your continued support.

We value clothing donations that are interview-appropriate, in very good condition and ready to wear. These donations directly help another woman to succeed at her job interview.

Most of the clothes donated to us are put straight onto our rails to dress the women we see.

At the moment we are urgently in need of the following items:

  • Interview appropriate clothing in size 16 and above
  • Coats
  • Flat shoes (all sizes)
  • Handbags and other accessories
  • Unloved party wear / gifts
  • If you have other items to donate, please contact us and we will be able to let you know if we are able to accept them at this time.

Having recently received a generous donation from a clothing retailer, our stock room is currently at capacity, therefore we are kindly asking that you contact our Leeds team before sending a delivery to us, either in person or via post.

Corporate Clothing Drives

Many organisations run a clothing drive on behalf of Smart Works, which is an easy and fun way to secure a large number of clothing donations, and ensure that great quality clothing is put to the best possible use.

Alongside a clothing drive, we also suggest other fundraising activities as another way to support our centre. This could be donating a small amount of money per item donated, holding a clothing bring and buy sale with friends or colleagues, or inviting Smart Works to host a pop-up sale in your workplace, to raise money for our service and get some new pieces for your wardrobe.

For more information on how to organise a clothing drive please download the Leeds Clothing Drive pack or contact the Smart Works Leeds team.
