Virginia Chadwyck-Healey joins Smart Works Reading as Ambassador
We are really thrilled to announce our next Ambassador, Virginia Chadwyck-Healey, Founder of VCHStyle.
Ginnie worked at British Vogue for 12 years, firstly managing the British Fashion advertising portfolio and latterly, as the Executive Retail Editor. This role gave her a breadth of knowledge across the fashion, jewellery and beauty industries. Her passion for both the commercial and the creative is what led her to start VCHStyle, a platform for her new foray into brand consultancy, which also includes presenting and private client styling. She has worked with a range of brands, such as Louis Vuitton, John Lewis and Christian Louboutin. Ginnie is married to Oliver, and they have two daughters. They live near Pangbourne in Berkshire.
Ginnie says: “It is an honour to be invited into the Smart Works Reading family. I was struck by the vast area this branch covers and how important it is as a foundation for those women seeking a promising new start in the job market. This is not just about fashion, this is about installing confidence, acquiring new interview techniques and building the blocks for a brighter future. Fashion has a habit of appearing fickle and unforgiving. A charity like Smart Works Reading casts a much brighter light on the industry.”
Sarah Burns, Chair of Smart Works Reading, says: “We are so excited to welcome Ginnie to the Smart Works Reading family in her role as our Ambassador. We know that Ginnie will bring her passion for fashion and style to Smart Works Reading in a sensitive and energetic manner. We love Ginnie’s mantra of ‘Condense, Curate, Create’ and I’m sure our clients will take a lot from Ginnie’s advice. We are hugely grateful for her time, experience and styling expertise that she brings to this new role.”
