SMART WORKS READING PARTNERS WITH CECILIA QUINN

As Sunday 8th March was International Women’s Day, it felt like the perfect week to announce Cecilia Quinn Henley and Amersham as official Smart Works Reading clothing donation ‘drop off points’, commencing Tuesday 10th March.

Cecilia Quinn will accept high-quality clothing and footwear on behalf of the award-winning employment charity.

10% discount off the new Cecilia Quinn collection

As a thank you for eligible donations, Cecilia Quinn is offering a 10% voucher per donation  on the new Cecilia Quinn Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The discount is valid during March, April and May 2020.

Supporting women in need into employment

Smart Works Reading supports almost 400 women a year with a free employment dressing and advice service. Clients receive a two-hour consultation during which they chose an interview-ready outfit which is theirs to keep and have a tailored 1-2-1 employment coaching session with an HR professional.

Cecilia Quinn was originally founded by Michele and Claudia, using their extensive experience – over 20 years – in fashion as stylists. The perennial problem of finding comfortable, yet stylish shoes led them to source shoes themselves in Italy.

High-quality clothing and shoes for the perfect interview outfit

At the core of all their businesses has been the desire to ‘ lift women up’, which ties in perfectly with the Smart Works Reading ethos. The charity provides clients with well-fitting and long-lasting clothing that is interview appropriate. When thinking about what to give, the charity suggests that people ask themselves “Would I wear this to an interview?” before donating an outfit.

To launch this exciting new venture, Michele and Claudia have donated several pairs of brand-new court shoes, handcrafted by the finest Italian artisans. Through donating these shoes, the hope is to express a wish to facilitate a woman’s desire to work, to lift her up (in comfort!) and send her on a journey to success and fulfilment.

Sarah Burns MBE, Founder and Chair of Smart Works Reading said:

“We are delighted to have Cecilia Quinn join our packed programme of speaking engagements, events and activities to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.

“Having a donation collection centre in Henley is such an asset, and everyone donating through Cecilia Quinn will benefit from a discount off their beautiful Italian-made shoes during this International Women’s Day promotion.

“We’re looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the lovely Cecilia Quinn and to receive donations from their amazing customers.”

Michele Langenbrinck and Claudia De Biasi from Cecilia Quinn said:

“We are so excited about this collaboration, as it ties in so perfectly with our values. Helping women to feel confident and self-assured in both their appearance and capabilities.

After visiting the Smart Works centre in Reading and seeing first-hand the valuable work that is done, we feel privileged to be able to help in this small way in both our boutiques in Henley and Amersham.”

Donations can be dropped off at Cecilia Quinn stores at 26 Hart Street, Henley-on-Thames RG9 2AU and 23 Market Square, Amersham HP7 0DR. The 10% discount promotion per donation runs from Tuesday 10th March to 31st May 2020 and will be given in exchange for a donation of high-quality clothing or footwear for Smart Works Reading.
