Tailored to Perfection: An evening with Accenture and Gormley and Gamble image

Last week we had the huge pleasure of attending an event organised by the Accenture Accent on Gender Network with Gormley and Gamble, the first women’s only tailors in Savile Row’s history.

This inspiring event provided a chance to hear Phoebe Gormley, founder of Gormley and Gamble, talk about her experience dropping out of university and using the funding she would have spent on completing the final year of her degree, to set up her flourishing business. Not only was it astounding to hear of the success Pheobe and her team have achieved, but also to hear about the challenges faced by the Gormley and Gamble team and how, despite some set backs and underestimation, the business is now growing rapidly.

The event kicked off the Accenture clothing drive; a fantastic range of clothes, shoes and accessories were collected by the Accenture team at their offices and delivered to Smart Works. We were also thrilled to receive a donation of beautiful hand-crafted pieces from Gormley and Gamble which we know will make our clients look and feel very special. Thank you to everyone involved for coming along, networking and donating pieces to support Smart Works.

Huge thanks to Lydia and Charlotte for organising such a brilliant event and to everyone involved in donating clothing and supporting Smart Works.
