All of our dressing and interview coaching service is delivered by a team of highly skilled volunteers.

We believe that it can be as rewarding for the volunteers as it is for the clients to be involved in an organisation that is promoting self-belief, confidence and positive encouragement to women.
You can find some profiles written by our Smart Works volunteers here. There are four main areas that we need volunteers to help at Smart Works. We do currently have a waiting list for some of the roles, but it is always worth getting in touch if there is a specific role you are interested in.
Dressing volunteers help our clients find the right clothes for their interview. To be a good dressing volunteer you need an eye for style, great people skills and plenty of patience. The minimum commitment is one day per week.
If you are unable to commit to one day per week you can apply to be on our list of standby dressing volunteers.
Interview volunteers help clients prepare for their interview by focusing on their skills, their confidence and their presentation. You will need a background in HR, recruitment or senior management to join this programme. The minimum commitment is one day per month.

Our Wardrobe volunteers work closely with our UK Head of Wardrobe to ensure that our dressing room is immaculate, our fundraising events are incredible and, most importantly, that every Smart Works client leaves her dressing appointment feeling confident about her upcoming interview. If you are highly organised, colour coordinate your wardrobe, love clothes and have lots of energy this is the role for you. The minimum commitment is two days per month.
Admin volunteers help in the office by answering phones, greeting clients, inputting data, filing and helping with other office duties. You need excellent customer service skills and general office skills. The minimum commitment is one day per week.
