  • Is Smart Works Leeds currently open for normal service?

    From 22nd September 2020, we are open on Tuesdays and Fridays for in-person and virtual client appointments, and can accommodate virtual appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please call us on 0113 234 6503 and we will work out a suitable time for the appointment.

    We are a COVID-Secure venue and request that all visitors to the centre wear masks and follow our on-site guidance.

  • How does virtual interview coaching work?

    If you have an interview lined up, please give us a call on 0113 234 6503.  We will take a few details and arrange for an interview coach to give you a call at a time that suits you. The call can be either a video call or a phone call, whichever you prefer. The session will last around an hour and they will give you expert tips and advice for your upcoming interview.

  • Are you still able to accept clothing donations?

    For the time-being, we cannot accept donations of clothes. Please keep checking our website and email [email protected] if you are interested in being notified when this changes.

  • What is the address of Smart Works Leeds?

    Our address is Smart Works Leeds, Mill 5, 1st Floor, Mabgate Mills, Macaulay Street, Leeds, LS9 7DZ.

  • How do I get to Smart Works Leeds?

    Mabgate Mills is a large brick complex with a pedestrian entrance by the junction of Macaulay Street and Lincoln Green Road. It is a 25 minute walk from the train station or an 11 minute walk from the city bus station.

    • From Leeds train station: Come out of the station via the main entrance (opposite the barriers), head right down New Station Road and then right again down Boar Lane till you reach the Corn Exchange. Take a left onto New Market Street and keep going till you reach Eastgate – then take right towards the large round about. Turn left at round about and keep walking down Regent Street (A61). Turn right onto Skinner Lane and then right again down Macaulay Street. The entrance to Mabgate Mills will be on your right and Smart Works Leeds is the third door on the left upon entering the mill complex.
    • From Leeds City Bus station: Come out of the bus station and head towards large roundabout. Go round it and continue north up Regent Street (A61). Turn right onto Skinner Lane and then right again down Macaulay Street. The entrance to Mabgate Mills will be on your right and Smart Works Leeds is the third door on the left upon entering the mill complex.
    • Parking: The nearest street parking (payable by phone) is on Macaulay Street.

  • What if I am running late or get lost?

    Please do call us on 0113 234 6503 and let us know if you are running late as this will impact the time we have available for your appointment.

    If you are lost we are happy to talk through directions on the phone with you.

  • What should I do if I can't make my appointment?

    Please do call us on 0113 234 6503 and let us know if you are unable to attend your appointment. Things change quickly, especially during these challenging times, and we can rearrange your appointment to another time.

  • Can I bring my children to my appointment?

    We do recognise that childcare arrangements can be tricky so we are happy for you to bring your children, but we do need to be notified of this when your appointment is being arranged.

  • Can I bring my pet to my Smart Works appointment?

    No sadly we cannot have animals at Smart Works Leeds.

  • When are you open for client appointments?

    The centre is open for in-person appointments from 10am-4pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.

    We can offer virtual client appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

  • How do I donate clothing?

    For the time-being, we cannot accept donations of clothes. Please keep checking our website and email [email protected] if you are interested in being notified when this changes.
