Christine Harley, chair, Smart Works Edinburgh, said:
“Following the success of our first pop-up sale in 2017, we’re once again delighted to be partnering with i-on to bring an even bigger, better and brighter experience on 7th November. We have received tremendous support from an eclectic mix of retailers who will be eagerly awaiting to assist guests with their Christmas shopping list (or indeed any list!)
Through their generous donations of a percentage of their sales plus that of our guests on the evening, Smart Works can continue the tremendous work undertaken by our volunteers to support women in Scotland return to work. Our role in improving their confidence and interview skills to succeed in securing employment alters the course of their lives, and their families’ too.
Our continued success and long-term goals can only be achieved through fundraising events such as this. The support we receive, in any shape or form, is always greatly appreciated and essential for our future development. 60% of our clients have secured employment, which tells you that Smart Works!”
Jo Morris, Director of i-on magazine said:
“We are proud to support such a brilliant initiative. The businesses involved are some of the best in the city and we are excited to join our readers again for what we are sure will be another hugely successful event”
