A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Smart Works Leeds Board of Trustees.
The role of trustee is an important position, with the successful candidates working closely with the Chair of Trustees to ensure Smart Works Leeds is well-run, effective and there for any woman who needs our help.
If appointed, you will help determine the strategic direction of Smart Works in Leeds and use your skills and talents to support the charity to thrive and transform the lives of unemployed women across West Yorkshire. You will have a hands-on role in ensuring Smart Works Leeds is financially sustainable, properly resourced and treats every woman who comes for help with kindness, dignity and care.
There is also an important advocacy role, as Trustees are ambassadors for Smart Works who help build the charity’s profile and reputation. This voluntary role is integral to the success of Smart Works Leeds and therefore requires a self-starting and proactive approach. The right candidate will have time to give and build strong working relationships with the Chair, fellow trustees, staff, volunteers and supporters.
Anyone passionate about Smart Works’ mission is welcome to apply, but we are particularly eager to speak to experienced HR professionals.
