Do Good with Shoeaholics

As part of our recently announced partnership with Shoeaholics we spoke with Head of Brand Marketing, Angela Asiedua. Angela talked us through the Shoe Good initiative and how the team is working to support unemployed women up and down the country.

What is it about Smart Works that inspired you to build this partnership?

Giving back and doing good is at the heart of the Shoeaholics brand, so partnering with Smart Works, which cares so deeply about helping women get back into the workplace, inspired us to build this partnership. We’re thrilled to support Smart Works via our shoe and bags donations and look forward to a hugely inspiring collaboration that helps women to move forward with their lives.

Can you tell us more about your Shoe Good initiative and what you hope to achieve?

At Shoeaholics we’re not just passionate about all things footwear and accessories. We’re passionate about our customers, our people and our charities. That’s why over 2021 and beyond, we’re going to make ‘Shoe Good’ our mission. We shall be partnering with multiple regional and local charity partners, to help and support to make a difference on the ground in the areas where our customers are from.

Why do you think shoes are such an important part of the outfit?

Shoes are such an important part of an outfit as they have the ability to change the way a woman feels in an instant and it’s not just about how they look and feel on our feet, but they directly correlate to how we feel within our self.

If you could give any advice to our clients what would it be?

Be yourself, give it your best shot and remember, regardless of the number of times you fall, always stand up and continue the race.

With 200 pairs of shoes already donated to the Smart Works wardrobe, Shoeaholics are making a huge difference to the lives of our clients.
