Henley Literary Festival’s charity partner for 2018

The Smart Works Reading team is delighted to announce that we’ve been selected as Henley Literary Festival’s charity partner for 2018.

With this year’s Henley Literary Festival set to be the biggest yet, expanding to nine days for the first time, the partnership is set to raise much needed awareness for our charity, and help us reach a new audience, as well as collaborating on a series of events. Speakers include some of the UK’s best-loved writers – from Sebastian Faulks through to Michael Morpurgo, alongside exciting new talent. The festival runs 29th September – 7th October 2018.

Together with Henley Literary Festival, we’ll launch our inaugural “Smart Talks”, the first in a series of fun, inspiring networking events to bring women together to explore the world of careers and working lives. We’re inviting a brilliant panel of high-profile local women in business to share their success secrets, career tips and the pursuit of work-life balance. We’ll also be sharing professional personal makeup & styling tips. The ticketed event takes place in the Hub, the Festival’s dedicated marquee in Henley town square, on the 5th October from 6.30pm. Smart Works Reading will have a presence in the Hub throughout the festival, so do please stop by to meet and chat with our wonderful volunteers if you’re attending the festival.

Supportive words from Tom Ryan, programme director at Henley Literary Festival: “Our programme this year includes exciting new talent, with exciting authors like Emma Gannon and Daisy Buchanan, who are leading the conversation around women and work. Smart Works Reading and its work really resonated with us, so we’re delighted to support the charity.”

Keep an eye on our social media and press to learn more about exiting panellists as they are confirmed and how to get you’re a ticket to attend.
