We are proud to have developed meaningful relationships with inspiring organisations who share our passion for empowering women.
Smart Works Greater Manchester key supporters include:
Analysis Legal have offered us continuous support during our first year, and most recently held a coffee morning and a suit drive for us. We really appreciate everything that they do for us and look forward to continue working with them.
Anna Lees, partner at Analysis Legal LLP, said:
“Our employment lawyers at Analysis Legal often see the impact that being out of work can have on a client’s confidence. As soon as we heard about Smart Works, we could see that the excellent service it provides makes a really positive difference to women’s lives, giving them back confidence. We were so impressed with the charity’s ethos that we wanted to support the charity by using our professional networks to hold ‘suit-drive’ events to collect clothing and raise money for Smart Works, and in doing so help women who want to succeed in the workplace”.
MediaCom North recently held an event for us where they managed to gather 19 big bags of clothing donations alongside raising vital funds through a raffle they held. We are overwhelmed by their support and can’t wait to attend another event of theirs.
Katy Leeson, head of new business and marketing at MediaCom, said:
“As a woman in business I know that the clothes we wear have a huge impact on how we are perceived, by others, plus our own self-esteem and confidence.
During an interview, first impressions really count.
MediaCom North has a large workforce, including many empowered and confident women. We want to help Smart Works’ clients feel prepared to make the best possible impression when attending the job interviews that could change their lives.”
Worldpay held an amazing event which raised more vital funds. Everyone at the event was extremely supportive and we can’t wait to work with them again in the future.
BNY Mellon held a suit drive, which they also match funded, and also offer their skills and come in to provide interview coaching to our clients once a month.
Their support and belief in our work has meant we have received much needed clothing donations and funds to contribute to our charity running costs. It is with the help of these companies that we can continue the work that we do and help even more women get back into work.
We are always looking to grow our connections with corporate partners in the Greater Manchester area and we would be very grateful if you could support our local charity.

Local Women’s Networks
We are delighted to receive the support of a number of women’s networks in and around the Greater Manchester area from providing donations, volunteering, support directly to Smart Works to promoting our cause and connecting us with other people that can help.
Running a Smart Works Manchester clothing drive is a great way of involving your colleagues in a worthwhile cause whilst also freeing up space in their wardrobes. We need a steady supply of good quality work-appropriate clothes to pass on to our clients.
Clothing drives are critical to the success of our core Smart Works service.
We will provide you with a Smart Works Clothing Drive pack, which contains all the information (including a poster) you will need to get started and make your event as fun and effective as possible.
How to organise a Smart Works Clothing Drive in four easy steps:
- Agree a particular day or week to hold your suit drive
- Publicise the event via email and posters
- Designate a room or space in the office where people can drop off their clothes, and organise a hanging rail and some boxes to store the clothes
- After the suit drive, package up the donations and deliver them to Smart Works.
It really is that simple.
Please remember that all clothing, accessories and shoe donations need to be of the highest possible quality and suitable to be worn at interview.
