Salesforce host a spectacular evening for the Smart Works Network image

An inspiring and interesting evening was had by all at the recent Smart Works Network hosted by Salesforce at their stunning HQ, Salesforce Tower. Chris Ciauri, Executive Vice President for Salesforce EMEA and huge advocate for gender equality, kicked off the event with a fantastic speech about mentoring, sponsorship, diversity and equality of opportunity. We also had a heartwarming talk from Roisin Corrigan, a Regional Vice President of Sales at Salesforce, who spoke about her career journey, challenges and learnings.

The event had a ‘marketplace’ style set up which included the chance for attendees to learn from presentations and demonstrations on styling, make up, personal and professional development. From getting CV advice from Salesforce’s HR experts through to learning new skills-it was an enjoyable and entertaining evening.

The Salesforce team also provided some really useful training sessions in Trailhead, their interactive learning path which guides you through the basic building blocks of the Salesforce1 Platform (https://trailhead.salesforce.com/).

We had some brilliant feedback from guests,

“Many thanks and gratitude to organisers of this event and to each person who voluntarily gave their time that evening giving advice, information and hope.”-Natasha

“What an incredible evening last night was. A warm welcome to all the Smart Works women and really high calibre support for cv, interviews as well as styling tips and make up. Please say a big thank you to everyone who participated in making it such a success. I was really impressed by the tips I was given to improve my CV I had looked at it several times but different, professional eyes really helped make a big improvement, almost a transformation, to my cv.”-Manon

“Having the opportunity to get some understanding of Salesforce and to be able to practice at home has given me a real boost. I know various charities who use this software so it will really help me move forward and help with my employability skills. Huge appreciation to Salesforce, everyone I encountered there was friendly, kind and helpful, from the trainers to the sincerity and openness of Roisin when sharing her inspiring background, the people doing CV’s and the other activities and the encouragement from Chris. The generosity of the organisation was a wonderful boost and I hope that other ladies are able to benefit from such a warm and enjoyable evening in the future.”-Ashley

“I just want to say what a wonderful evening I had yesterday evening at the network evening at Salesforce. Wow what an experience! l learnt so much from the different inspiring members of the team in such a short space of time.”-Marion

Huge thanks to Kristy, for the incredibly hard work she put in to organising this whole event. Thanks also to Julia, Emily, Chris, Roisin and every single person who was involved from Salesforce, it really was a magical evening.
